Thanks for you info!!  I do have a month to month rental agreement, but no where is it stated that he would not be responsible for the water and trash (pick up) or that I specifically would be responsible for these things.  Soooo, I still feel like I'm in the gray on this....:/  We (the landlord and I ) talked about  "applying" to the water company to start a new account in my name.  Like gas, electric, etc.  but the water co.  said that the homeowner (my landlord)  had to keep it in his name.  So does that make him responsible for the bill?  Got any thoughts on it?  And thank you for reminding me to be tactful,  I like to think I'm a pretty nice person, and would not want to start things off on a negative note.  To be honest, I love the house and wouldnt mind paying the W & T but if the landlord is responsible,  it's only fair right?  Thanks so much!!
