I grew up in a hippie home in Central California. My father was health professor at the local university and my mother was a Midwife, and a Yoga and Pilates instructor. I was never allowed to eat sweets and junk food like all of my other friends. I had to sneak out and buy my own junk food when I needed a fix.
When I went to college I started a major in Animal Husbandry, because I love animals and I wanted to become a vet. When I realized how poor the eating habits were of the other students, I decided to change my major- something that is more applicable in my current life. This year I decided to change my major to Health; of course my parents were delighted. I have studied lots about skin care and researched some about animal safe products.
I am almost finished with my third year, and I have never felt more at home than in the Health department (I still love animals).
This summer I will be teaching Yoga and Pilates for my mother, so I will only be working for a few hours a day so I can hang out at the beach in the afternoon. I am really excited to be going back home, and to see all of my friends. It’s gonna be great.
