I was not feeling sensitive but I was a little defensive. I understand you were not now because my grandmother always comes off likes shes angry even when she is not. My mothers boyfriend told that and I can see how it makes sense.

Also yes they were trained to fight if you have ever done a history check on this breed you would know that. People still use them for this grussume sport. They ORIGANLY were trained to be agressive towards dogs and NOT people. And I agree with your last sentence on the comment below. I have owned atleast 8 of these magnificent dogs and only one has dissapointed me, but we think the person we got it from fought it because of they way it acted.

One its possible because pits are smart animals I have owned several. Two you need to chill out I was just making a statement, you don't have to jump down my throat about it. Also do you own a pitbull and if you don't then how can you judge them? Well I have to go peace.

I have had pitbulls in the past, and loved them and they were the smartest and best dogs. I have a dog grooming business and we have 4000 thousand dogs in our data base. , several pitbulls included. I would say that half of them are dog aggressive. It just depends on how they are raised and trained. Also in my neighborhood their are many pits which run loose. I have seen them attack other dogs and seen people try to get them off the other dogs and their jaws are so strong it is almost impossible to separate them. Like I said these dogs were probably trained to fight and attack. Any breed of dog that is trained to fight would most likely do the same.

I have something to add about your answer on the why do pitbull owners protect their pets. Pitbulls CAN NOT lock their jaws it has never been proven. And I have been told that pitbulls are like elephants they remember everything that has happened to them so that could explain why they "turn" like if they were abused or something. Tell me what you think about this.
