Hi Karen4s2: Thanks for the great advice. Yes, you are right - his death may have been something that the family wants to remain private about. If someone dies from AIDs, I don't think their family would want any outsiders knowing the cause of death. I don't think this is the case with my friend but you never know. My friend was a heavy smoker - he may have died from a smoking related disease.
