Hello again. Does she openly talk to you about the self harm? If she does, maybe you should look up some information on the sites and then talk to her about it when she brings it up so as not to have to start the discussion. If she doesnt talk openly about it, you could say something along the lines of "I found a really useful website for information about _______" and then you could say anything that is on the website and suggest she looks at it, although not saying anything that is connected with self harm as the reason to go to the site. Then, if she wants to help herself she can do so without it seeming too much like you're trying to interfere at all. If you wanted to get more advice about whether to talk to her or not, you could always get an account on one of the websites and ask what other people think as it could be helpful to you to know how to help her as well. As I said before, I ahve an account on all of those so I can always help you on those sites as well.
www.teenhut.net (Although I wouldnt suggest her posting about it there unless she wants a tyrade of abuse from people. I would suggest just looking at the self help part in the depression posts at that is more useful. Most people are fine with hearing about self harm but there are a few who are really rude and arrogant about it and make people feel worse) www.opendiary.com (This is more of a blogging site than anything but if people do discuss things like self harm here, people dont judge them for it. And if they do, you can just delete the comments.) I have accounts on all of those and could help you with things on the site and help to answer any questions you might have about any of them. I do know of a fair few more sites but these are the best of the ones I know. If you would like some more, I can send you some more links but the most useful ones are here, I think.
Hey, I'm not too bad thank you. How are you? Yes, I remember answering that question. Some of the websites might not let you or her join if either of you are under 16 but most of them will let you join. www.mentalhealth-world.org.uk (I think you have to be 16 or older to be on this site, although i would say it is the best out of the ones here.) www.teenhelp.org (This is also quite a useful site, although there arent very many people here and the people arent always the most helpful)
You can shout at him/her, if you log in/register.
