Hi. I saw your answer about unemployment benefits not being paid if a person was forced to resign. I wanted to let you know that this actually depends on the state. Most states -- such as California (Title 22, Section 1256-1(d) -- have a provision where if you are offered to quit in lieu of being discharged, that is recognized as an involuntary discharge and you are eligible for unemployment. I just went through this exact thing and was scared at first until I checked EDD's website.
