I don't know what type of dog you have but you should not be too worried at all... My smooth Chihuahua had two litters of puppies and basically we walked in the house to find her hiding where she thought it was safe, and she would already have one or two out. Let her do her job and don't try to assist unless she really looks like she needs it. Dogs can get nippy and touchy at this time. Also, my dog and i'm sure other dogs eat the afterbirth. It is discusting to watch but i think i remember a vet saying that she was eating it for the vitamins and everything so let her eat it. Grab some towels and sheets and blankets and lay them around her so when the puppies come out they are not on a cold floor. If you have anymore questions, you can ask me if you would like...
