I believe that there is some historic truth to it. Archaeologists have uncovered proof that some people really existed and some things really happened. I believe there are many good stories in it, some real, some fiction, but many are very good lessons. BTW, I believe in what Jesus was credited with teaching, and I try to live my life in that spirit. After all, he was a rabbi. That doesn't really matter. He was a wise young man. Who knows? Maybe if I had been there at the time I would have followed him too,
I apologize. You just haven't been on the site long enough to see some of the things I have. I am so tired of being told I won't be saved if I don't take Jesus as my savior, and that I will be going to hell. That, to me, is an attitude of superiority and lack of respect for my beliefs, I would rather be friends than adversaries. I only ask not to be preacned to (not by you), and to be afforded respect for my beleifs. I only want to get along with other Blurters.
I read your messages. You haven't been on this web site very long. My problem is people think they have the right to shove their beliefs down my throat. I don't respect the arrogance of those who believe their truth is the only truth, and their church is the only true church. They use this site as a forum for beating us over the head. Shall I begin to force my Judasism on you? Oh, I forgot. Jews are respnsible for all the evils in this world!
