I wanted to leave you another answer, but i couldn't. But I wanted to tell you that I have two children. My oldest is 6 and was adopted by my cousins. He was born with spina bifida and I was worried about where he would go when he was taken from me, and I chose them because they had dealt with a special needs child of their own who passed away. But they recently found out and told me that he was diagnosed with PDSS/NOS. Basically he is mildly autistic and if affects him emotionally and behaviorly. He sometimes acts like a 3 year old. They always knew there was something wrong and they had a hard time trying to figure it out. But they were never cruel and always handled it well. They have two other daughters, one who was already grown and married when my son went to live with them and one who was still a teenager. The point I am trying to make is that even though he had special needs they never treated him any different, or better, than their other children. They have had to give him a little extra here and there, but they always did it in a way that wouldn't make him feel like he wasn't normal. That's the way it should be. If you feel that you aren't treated as well, then you should talk to your mom about how you feel. Especially if your brother and sister function well in the world.
