Freedom1, Thanks for answering my question. You are right in your assumption that I don't have neutral at the switch. It is wired from panel to ceiling light fixture, and from light fixture, white as hot to the switch and black carrying current back to the light fixture. Is there anyway to install an another switch and a light fixture from the first switch, which does not have neutral?

Freedom1st, Thanks for confirming what I was thinking. I wanted to run it from the outlet but found that the location makes it difficult to run the wiring. However, the switch had a capped off neutral wire, so I’m now going to run it from the switch. I did a test hook up to make sire I was going in the right direction before cutting holes in my ceiling.

Thanks for the input on the funeral expense question!!...a good thing for me, is that this funeral home has been in the area for many many years...I have no fear of their being dishonest, it just kind of griped me that they were getting all the interest; now, the more I think of it, what other way could it be? the bank account idea was one I considered, but it seemed too 'round about' for my family...in a way now, I wish I'd done it that way.....hey,you can't have it all, and I'm just happy that it's all settled, whether I get any interest or not!! thanks for your input!!
