About Me
My Interests
Well i'll try to contact someone then. That way I can see if it truly is as factual as everyone claims. Thanks for the interesting conversations, i'll likely message you again sometime, after I sort all this out.
I guess there's no point resending the link until I discuss your comment first. Thing is, what bugs me is the statement "Everything in science supports evolution", because that gives no details. Saying that statement doesn't actually strengthen any arguments, its unsupported. As for the other methods of 'proof' which you mentioned, such as carbon dating, I did previously mention I saw a flaw with. I went back, and looked a link to a video you gave, however that still didn't clear up the problem. Radiometric dating tracks the change of item A into item B, thus giving an approximate age. While scientists claim that all minerals will make this change at a constant rate, how can they honestly know? Over the course of 1000 years, the rate of decay for something maybe double, triple, half, or something completely different. Also, when using this on rocks/creatures they are new-found, how can they be sure the original amount that was in them? They weren't there, were they. After all if they were, we wouldn't be having this argument.
Your convinced that Evolution is true. While you say there is much proof, can you please post the top 5? Thanks, must appreciated!
(also try to answer my question)
So, I've run through some evidence (defined evidence on the following link), and tried my best too show two possibilities for the same evidence. However I would also like to turn things around a bit. After reading the link(which is where I decided to write my response, since it wouldn't fit in a shoutbox) I'd like for you to try your best to question creationism. Avoid using statements such as "evolution states .... So it can't be true". Use scientific facts, yes, but not evolution itself.
What i hope to accomplish with this is eventually show that creation is also a valid theory.
(If you find errors with the post, tell me. I will try to explain it/fix it so it does make sense)

Ah, I figured there would be an explanation for such a thing, didn't think a flaw could be so easy to find. Otherwise, it would have been discovered by this point.
The problem I see with natural selection in some cases, is it doesn't seem to make complete sense. I can fully see that in most cases, it work, understandable. But others, it just doesn't seem to work. Think about when a normal bird would have developed into a woodpecker. Is it simply as easy as "he needed food, it was in the trees, so his body adapted to it"? That doesn't quite work. Yes, a beak would be of advantage to the species, yes it would then become dominant because it possesses a trait that is better than the rest of the birds for that time. But while the beak is still incomplete, it is pretty much useless. That animal has no advantages until it has completely 'finished' evolving into its new form. Another example:

Considering the whole "global warming", icecap melting, etc just popped into my head, think about this. So, the icecaps are melting, the earths surface is slowly being covered with water. Seems like a time that evolution would happen. So, those of us that are more exposed to water gradually adapt, and grow flaps of skin on our sides, which will eventually develop into fins. The thing is, while the fins remain just flaps of skin, they have no advantage. They have no more chance to live than the others. It doesnt help them. In that situation, everyone is likely to do, do too massive floods.
Just saying, changes don't help until they are 100% completed. Since these transformations take such a long time to occur, it seems implausible that those that have made these changes will survive, opposed to the normal species. Not all of the normal species would have changed obviously, otherwise natural selection wouldn't work.(there would be no 'better' animal)
(Part 1 of 2) Hey, its been a very long time, hasn't it! How have you been? Personally, I enjoyed our little debate many months ago, and it encouraged me to look into why I believed what I do. Over the past several months, also due to the public schooling system, I have gotten to think more deeply about evolution, creation, and all that stuff. So I would like to take a stab at a few things if thats alright with you! I'd like to note that I do still believe in a Young Earth, as well as creation, but by this point I have a little bit more knowledge about both sides of the argument. A question:
(Part 2 of 2)
- Animals adapted to the environment, and continued to do so over millions of years which eventually ended up with the species we have now. Each animal was adapted to the environment at the time, or it died of, showing natural selection. Correct so far(according the the Theory Of Evolution)? So, what this means is that the environment caused animals to develop features, such as longer beaks, stronger forehead, grow larger, etc, right? If true:
As far as I recall, life is said to have started in water, though this principle could be reveresed if it was on land. To live on land, you need a lung. To live in water, you need gills. The Theory of Evolution says that when an animal is exposed to the environment, it can adapt.
However, the only way the fish will be exposed to this new environment is if they go on land. However, they will only go on land for a few seconds, then die for lack of oxygen. There is no time given to adapt to the environment.
Perahps, you have an explanation that you can give. However, this seems as though it doesn't quite fit with the theory of evolution
Someone asked who has been on the longest on the site, and I can only think of you, are there any others that you might know of? (old timer?) lol No way, not with that sharp mind.
Hey there, wow Grand Canyon huh? My brother was there a few years back. I couldn't handle being there, the heights would freak me out. Lol I am glad that you had a good time though. It's colder here now. The snow comes about 1/3 of the way down the mountains so that means the next time it rains here, it will most likely snow to 2/3 of the way down the mountains, and then after that, it will be here. We usually get our snow in Oct. Tigger can't wait to go sledding now. Lol
Hi there, how ya doin? Good I hope.
You can shout at him/her, if you log in/register.
