This past year I have become more sad... I guess you would say, but I'm not even sad. Then again I'm not really happy either, and recently it just seems like smiling takes so much energy! I know this isn't normal. What's wrong with me?

That kind of malaise is totally age-dependent.

If you're a teen, its the frustration of reaching for your identity while your elders still treat you like a kid.

If you're a parent, it's the frustration of trying to steer your kids in a productive direction when they think they know as much as you do.

If you're old it's just arthritis. Live with it. >:-/

See a doctor. It could be stuff as simple as puberty or even just your tired body. Spend more time with friends or doing something you love and less sitting around. Also, see a doctor if it doesn't stop.
