I didn't realize people did. I like being able to pick out my own groceries, especially the produce.
Why do people prefer online grocery shopping?
I guess you don't have to be in a store with lots of people so they rather have it ordered.
At 72, the idea of only having to unload large, bulky and/or heavy items when I get home, rather than pull 2 carts around the store and fill them up is rather appealing.
Interestingly enough, the people who fill the orders seem to take pride in the orders they pull for their online customers---good dates, fresh produce, deli meats sliced to order.
I've only used the service 5 times in the last 18 months, but I am quite satisfied so far.
(Saves both time and energy.)
