What does that report spam button do?
absolutely nothing.. I bet they pay the spammers to be here, to fill up the site with questions, and to gain more traffic to the site. Thats the only reasonable thing to assume from this point on.
Aside from creating a callous on my index finger, the button seems to do nothing.
Actually, I use it every day.
Not because I expect it to do any good, but there is for me some satisfaction in properly classifying both questions and answers that fit that category.
I seldom go back beyond the first five pages when I first get on this site---that usually takes me back to yesterday's Q & A's.
And I also think it good to call attention to what I think to be spam.
