I don't think it matters. The only thing I think is relevant to sleeping on your left side is it lowers your blood pressure. Maybe good blood pressure means pleasant dreams?

I was always told if you eat toothpaste before bed, you'll have terrible nightmares. However, I think my mother just wanted my brother to stop eating toothpaste like spray cheese.

I sleep on both sides (also back & tummy), but have oddball dreams no matter what!  :)

Sleeping laterally is the most common sleep position. Studies have found that right-side sleepers experienced more positive dreams and fewer nightmares than left-side sleepers. ... Sleeping on your right side may cause you to dream of swallowing or burning.”
