I wouldn’t go to the store with my idiot parents. When they did work, it wasn’t anyplace a kid could go.
No, I didn’t.
I had absolutely no desire to go to work with my parents as a child.
I'm with everyone else
I was raised in a hospital. Both of my parents had careers in a hospital, my daddy's position allowed him to bring me and I'd hang out in his office. I have a lot of happy memories in hospitals.
Yes, I remember going to my dad's office and playing on the computer and drawing on the dry-erase board. I think I only went once or twice, but I remember thinking it was fun.
My dad owned a neighborhood grocery store. I "worked" there after school and on Saturday mornings. If he became ill both my mom and I covered the store till he could return. That only happened twice as I remember. It wasn't something I really wanted to do so when the right time came I was weaned from the store. I admit I learned a lot in that store.
When I was a child back in the 50's, I sometimes visited the bank where my mother worked. She was one of the very first female officers, and I was always so proud of her!
