I'm sure! :) But not in a sense of hearing a lot of noise. I could tell they were very proud to have been able to get it for me. They found out it was not a waste of money. I played for many years. Into my late 30's. I don't remember them ever complaining about the noise. :)

Yes, I remember the year I received my "Street King" shoe skates. I pretty much wore out the sidewalk that year. :)

It wasn't a specific gift actually. It was the theme under the tree. We called it our Smurf Christmas. My sister and I were really into Saturday morning Smurf cartoons watching them with dad. So we were happy as a clam when we opened everything "Smurf."

Fast forward a few years when my sister and I were older. My mom was telling us about some Christmas pasts and she referred to one in particular that her and dad were really having financial difficulty and they did the best they could buying all kinds of 10 cent things at "Pic and Save." Lol! She said "do you remember the Smurf Christmas?" Lol! Turned out to be one of the most memorable as a child! 😅

I got a toy kitchen with a "working sink". You put water in a reservoir and it would come out the faucet. They failed to put a reservoir under the drain though. My brothers and I filled it up and used it before my parents got up. They woke up to us trying to get the water out of a heavy wool carpet. Considering it was three young kids, say 3-6 years old, we were not doing so quietly nor effectively. I think it took a week for the carpet to dry.

The Xbox game Starwars Obi-Wan. It's memorable because I had gotten it as a complete surprise. It still remains as one of my favorite games. I had opened the gift and was filled with excitement, however my mother told me I was not allowed to play it until the family had been taken care of. Everyone except for me had gotten extremely ill (Mother, Father, and two siblings) and I was to wait on everyone. That day was torture as all I could do was think about firing up my console and playing the game. I think they all did it on purpose! Lol
