Here's an unusual question for those of you who have or had dogs. In regards to the dog's saliva left over in their dog dishes after they are done eating/ drinking. Do you find it easy to wash it off or is it slimy and difficult to clean?

My dogs lick their bowl clean do not usually slimy, but my drool when they watch you eat a favorite food of theirs like cheese or peanut butter,  or while waiting for a treat. That can be a slimy mess, and how slimy has varied with each dog. Arabella didn't use to be a problem, but eirhnage has gotten worse. Skully isn't too bad, but Thor could drool a whole puddle. He even often had bubbles on his drool. I make the sit on little throw rugs when giving a treat or fixing their food. That way I can just throw them in the washer and my floors aren't a mess.

That’s interesting. My dog bowls don’t get saliva on them.

The two pups stainless steel water dishes seem to get slimy but not the food dishes. We use a course cloth covered sponge to clean the dish when we refill the water.  That's the only thing that particular sponge gets used for.

The oldest dog doesn't slime up her dishes.

Yeah I've had several dogs and none of them had a saliva left over in their dog dish . I never thought about it maybe due to the fact of the brand of food they ate hard to say.
