Yes, if I'll talk with my girlfriend thru the metal stall walls of a public bathroom then there should be no issue talking on a phone with her while I'm in my loo.

I keep the phone near me if i am on the toilet and expecting a call from the doctor .

Yes. Lol. It’s become a habit where I immediately take my phone out of my pocket the second I sit down. Not for phone calls, but I may check apps or post online.
