In the past people were buried with items they would use in the afterlife, What items would you like to be buried with that you could use in the afterlife?

Since the pharaohs essentially proved that material goods go nowhere, afterlife or anywhere else, this is a remarkably stupid practice, IMO.

I also find traditional burial in a box immensely disturbing, ecologically irresponsible and a complete waste of materials. I intend to be cremated.

The embalming process is definitely disturbing, cremation has its pros and cons, it takes almost 30 gallons of fuel to cremate a body and about 600 pound of carbon dioxide is emitted into the atmosphere. Personally I'm going for a green burial. :)

Yes. Returning to the natural cycle. As it was supposed to be.

Nothing. I'll leave everything behind so someone else might get some use out of it.

I know where I am going. 🤗 But for the sake of giving a fun answer to this interesting question I will answer this way:

A skeleton key! 😈 That way I can sneak into Tom Cruise's house and scare him like a ghost! Then drive on down to Fort Knox just to say I saw the inside of the vault! Ooooh and then I'd take my ghostly self down to Vegas and get into the casino, mess with the heads of a few drunken gamblers then mosey on into the Chip and Dale locker room. 😲 Never mind! Scratch that one! I'd peep in on my widow husband making sure he is still weeping and saying he will never find anyone as wonderful as his Yin and once he went "Yin" he could never go back. 😈 Yep.... A skeleton key! 😉

Nothing. Can't imagine anything that would be of help to me in the next life except loved ones. And they have to make their own journey.
