Does smoking relax you?

I hate to say this but as of August 2, 2019 .. I stopped smoking cold turkey i was shame to tell people my dirty habit..No i don't find smoking to calm you down in fact my heart rate was fast when i was smoking since i stopped it has came down. Got see my doctor on Oct 30 so hope things have got better. . My maternal side of my family have passed away due to cigarette related smoking cancers My late Mom , My late Uncle , My Grand-dad , My Great Aunt yes the list goes on but i will advice all people smoking is not good.. Yes it can cause smoking related cancers. My Uncle stopped smoking October 1998  and took sick Summer of 2013 , lived a year than passed away and he loss hundred pounds.  So smoking is not good.
