I would definitely be bummed. But I would start over. And how I go about things would depend on how I lost them. For example, disaster, theft, bankruptcy or gambling problem. But none of those has ever happened.  ( knock on wood ) But I wouldn't consider it to be the end of the world. Most material possessions are replaceable.

It would be a shock and initially quite scary at this late stage of the game, but I believe my daughter and I would manage to find happiness again starting from scratch.  Losing loved ones is far more devastating than the loss of material possessions.

If everyone was safe it would be sad but life is more important. Material things can be replaced.  At this stage in life it would be harder but we would get by.

Just accept and get on with the life with what's left.

First I would cry. Not over most of it, but the things that can't be replaced. Photos, special mementos, that sort if thing. The rest can be replaced. While it would be difficult to start over, it can be done.
