What's the closest you've ever lived to the equator?

I currently live in S Fla.

I've lived most of my life in Florida, which is closer to the equator than most of the U.S.

Well the sweltering 122 plus degree weather I experienced last summer in Arizona sure felt close to an equator! 😅

That would be in Tampa, FL. Roughly 1,930 miles from the equator.

I've never lived close to the equator, but I did work in Lagos, Nigeria for an extended period (a few months, a couple of times). 6 degrees North. About 445 miles.
