At about 2 or 3 years old, I remember living in an apartment above a barbershop and going down the outside steps with my father to get a haircut.

My first memory is watching President Kennedy's funeral on tv. I was excited to see the white horses that was pulling the carriage carrying his casket, and everyone around was was incredibly sad. I didn't understand and felt like I did something wrong by being excited. When I told my grandmother about the memory when I was in high school she was shocked I remembered it. She remembered too. I had been sitting in her lap. I was 21 months  old.

3 years old for sure. Started a pre education program because they were right about me having a learning disability..  And playing with X-Men toys with the kid across the ally way.. I broke my leg when I turned 4 (fell out of a treat house)

I remember playing in my backyard with my little sister following behind me in an overgrowth of "four leaf clovers." LOL! I remember a stranger dressed in paint splattered white overalls trying to give me a candy bar through the fence and our dog intervened and almost bit his hand. I remember Beau's dog house too. I was 3 or 4.

I can remember being less than two years old riding in my "Taylor Tot" stroller with color beads across the tray.  I would sometimes wake up with those beads embedded in my cheek. 😊

Please read "Cider with Rosie". It starts with the memories of a tot growing up in rural Gloucestershire in England. A simple, beautiful narrative. Google "Laurie Lee".
