Both Fahrenheit and Celsius are two temperature scales based on the freezing conditions of water. On the Fahrenheit scale, the freezing point of water is 32 degrees and the boiling point is 212 degrees. In order to convert the Celsius temperature into Fahrenheit:

• Multiply the Celsius temperature by 9
• Divide the answer by 5
• Add 32 to the answer.

For example, let us change 30 degree Celsius to Fahrenheit: 30 times 9 is 270. Dividing 270 by 5 gives us 54. Adding 32 to 54 makes it 86 degrees Fahrenheit.

The algebraic formula for the conversion is: Tf = (9/5)*Tc+32 Tc=temperature in degrees Celsius Tf=temperature in degrees Fahrenheit Illustrating the formula, let us consider the temperature in Celsius to be 100 degrees. To convert into Fahrenheit, let us multiply the Celsius temperature by nine-fifths to get 180. Adding 32 to the sum makes the temperature as 212°F.

There are 4 easy ways to convert from one temp to another using a calculator (unless you can multiply and/or divide in your head).

C: Celsius
F: Fahrenheit
+: Plus
-: Minus
x: Times
/: Divided By
=: Equals

To convert from C to F:
C x 9 / 5 + 32 = F
or
C + 40 x 9 / 5 - 40 = F
or
C x 1.8 + 32 = F
or
C + 40 x 1.8 - 40 = F

To convert from F to C:
F - 32 x 5 / 9 = C
or
F + 40 x 5 / 9 - 40 = C
or
F - 32 x .5555556 = C*
or
F + 40 x .5555556 - 40 = C*

*The last 2 equations will never give you an exact temp. The larger the number, the less accurate it is. This is because .5555556 is actually .555... For practical purposes with normal temps, just round C to the nearest number.

To get the equivalent of any temperature obtained in Celsius to Fahrenheit a few simple calculations are needed. The temperature obtained in Celsius should be multiplied by nine
The product received should be divided by five. Add thirty two to this balance

For example if the thermometer shows 20 degrees Celsius, 20 multiplied by 9 is 180, 180 divided by 5 is 36 and finally 36 plus 32 is 68. Therefore 20 degrees Celsius is nothing but 68 degrees Fahrenheit.

The same procedure can be reversed to obtain results in Celsius when figures in Fahrenheit are made available.

Both Celsius and Fahrenheit scales of measuring temperature are based on the freezing conditions of water. The Fahrenheit scale was invented in 1714 by Gabriel Daniel Fahrenheit, a German born resident of Holland. Andres Celsius was the man responsible for the Celsius scale of measuring temperature. He introduced it in 1742.

Fahrenheit and Celsius are two temperature scales and they are convertible. The formula is as follows:

F = C9/5 + 32

C = (F - 32). 5/9

You can put the values in the equations and you can convert the temperature scale.

Converting Fahrenheit and Celsius

To go from Fahrenheit to Celsius:

  • Begin by subtracting 32 from the Fahrenheit number.
  • Divide the answer by 9.
  • Then multiply that answer by 5.

To go from Celsius to Fahrenheit:

  • Begin by multiplying the Celsius temperature by 9.
  • Divide the answer by 5.
  • Now add 32.
Hope it Helps!!!

There are two easy formulas that are used to convert Fahrenheit into Celsius and Celsius into Fahrenheit. To concert Fahrenheit to Celsius, use the following formula:
(°F – 32) × 5/9
For example if the temperature in Fahrenheit is 68 degrees then in Celsius it is:
(68 – 32) × 5/9
= 36 × 5/9
= 20 ° C

Subtract 32, , multiply by 5, divide by 9
example 32°F - 32 x 5/9 = 0°C
212°F - 32 x 5/9 = 100°C
