No. Did our great grandparents have it too  easy when cars and food processing plants were invented and then they didn't have to walk "20 miles in the snow to school and just eat a butter sandwich for lunch "?

With each new generation, some things become easier, while other or a new set of problems crop up. Physically speaking, sure they have it easier. Vacuums can clean all on their own.
