Fleetwood Mac was a singing group. The females in the group were Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks. I guess the article is referring to either female, but my guess would be Stevie Nicks.

That singer would be Stevie Nicks but they haven't produced any music in quite some time and I'm pretty sure one of the original members has passed away. I don't see how they could be relevant today except to people who listen to Vintage rock. Never cared for them much myself.

There is a reasonable explanation....there is a disorder called hemochromatosis where you have excessive iron in your blood and stored in your organs.
