I've always enjoyed places like Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge TN. They have a wealth of attractions including Ripleys Believe It Or Not, Ripleys Aquarium, History Museum, Star Cars Museum, Hollywood Wax Museum, Elvis Museum, Go Karts, and much more!
