Here's an excellent quote about honesty:

"If you tell the truth you don't have to remember what you said".

If you're always honest you'll have greater success at being viewed as trustworthy. If you want any kind of relationship to work you must be honest. Nobody wants to be around a liar.

Honesty often uncovers the liars. My mother use to say to me "Oh what a tangled web we weave when we first practice to deceive," (a Sir Walter Scott quote).  Lying actually takes a lot of effort.
