Police say they are looking for a motive on the latest mass shooting. Do you need a motive for craziness of killing 14 people?

I've just read two reports stating that the female shooter had pledged her allegiance to ISIS. I imagine her husband had as well. My guess is that their motive was to kill Americans as that seems to be the daily chant of ISIS.
