Is it really customary for people of Italian heritage to make and eat fish for Christmas/Nativity (as the main dish)? And, if so, which Italian cultures specifically (which parts of Italy)?

This might sound obvious, but any Italian communities near the sea tend to traditionally have more seafood dishes all year round, including Christmas...

The limit here is 250 characters. You want 750 words. Even if you managed to get it through, how are you going to get anybody to read it? That'd be a labour of love.
