I was on SodaHead. Between them eliminating the comment section, and Ask eliminating their Q&A community, it has not been a good week.

I was on SodaHead for almost two years when they slammed the door shut.
The last few weeks I've been on Amirite.
It depends on the topic. In some areas and fields there either isn't enough evidence for a consensus or that evidence can be interpreted many ways(like economics), or the field is subjective to a degree to begin with (philosophy or theology).

Usually, when experts disagree, it is in a field that really has no solid consensus ... Such as politics or economics. Just because those fields involve the actions of humans, and humans seldom act rationally - thus are difficult to predict future events, even based on past events.
