As hippy said, increased height, usually evidenced bu pants and sleeves growing to short.  Also joint pain called 'growth pains' can occure. 

Girls dont necessarily always have a growth 'spurt' like boys tho.  Girls often grow steadily over time, starting earlier than boys, rather than suddenly.
