It would have been more appropriate to sell the girlfriend. Your dad has made a serious error of judgement.

I'm so sorry you were forced to part with your cats because of your dad's girlfriend.  Your dad was wrong to make you do this, as a parent his first concern should be you.  He's got his priorities all wrong.
