Do you feel that biracial people of mixed black race, especially Americans, are generally expected to acknowledge or to ignore the non-African-American side of their heritage and culture?

I think they are encouraged to know and learn all of what makes them who they are, just  the same as how we each know our roots and where we came from ...whether it be European or Asian mixed  or African.
