Not necessarily. Some movies are completely pointless, like 50 Shades of Grey. Others, like Pirates of The Caribbean, seem to glorify criminal behavior such as deception, theft, and betrayal. The dodo did not have the ability to fly.    That would be a physical adaptation that was acceptable where it lived,  but as soon as foreign animals came about,  it was doomed.

It also had a behavioral adaptation where it had no fear of humans.  Why?  No one knows.
