Light is nearly as important to land dwelling life as water. Our bodies create some nutrients by sunlight, like vitamin D. Plants that are needed to feed us and animals need sunlight to grow. Without light life would not be as we know it.

You need light to see.  You also need moderate sunlight for your health as well.

Many years ago, after getting dressed I couldn't decide what color shoes to wear. So I had one of each on, something happened I forgot to change. Ended up with different colored shoes on at work.
