My girlfriend is ill and yesterday decided to change her Facebook picture of both of us to just herself. She explained to me that she felt down so wanted some likes. Am I thinking to much in to this??

Her explanation sounds like a legitimate action for a female. I wouldn't read into it. Mrs. Goofyhawk has changed her profile pictures from her and I to her and a male friend of hers before. All in all, it's just social media.
