Do you believe that there's only one real way that most people can actually contribute to society, their communities and the world at large?

No

There are lots of ways people can contribute to their community. Such as:

Volunteer to work in schools, hospitals, food banks etc.

Deliver food to shut ins.

Transport people for medical appointments.

Recycle

Why do you come to Blurtit? I come to have fun, talk, learn and give encouragement 😛

I came to pass the time, but made some friends and found some really good and caring people who provide intelligent answers and suggestions.  This site is a lot better than the last one I was on!  I hope I've been able to help with an answer or two!

Basically all that you said except for the "Give encouragement" part.  I think people don't need encouragement as they'll do what needs to be done on their own accord.
