Earth has one moon and that is it's only naturally occurring satellite, but there are other "moon-like" objects. This is where the whole "7 moons" thing comes from. The moon's orbit is a little off so people think that means there are smaller ones that temporarily come in orbit and mess up the path.
I live near Daytona Beach and it is spring break. You can see a whole lot more than 7 on any given day.
