Never wore an earring in my life but had long hair many times. Kind of long right now. Nothing wrong with it at all !
A lot of it depends on your style. If you can pull it off then do it. Personally i think long hair looks good on guys if they wear it in a way that compliments them. Earrings can be okay. Again you have to find a style that suits you.

Having 5 forks, 3 spoons, and 2 knives to eat food with. It's a fork. It does the same job as the slightly smaller fork. I just want to slurp my spaghetti off of it and not have to worry if it's the right utensil.
