We usually prepare half the dinners together as a family, then dig in. Close your mouth when you chew and don't eat with your hands unless it's finger foods.

I was taught good table manners as a child and they followed me into old age. One thing that I do is always put on a red t-shirt when I'm eating pasta with red sauce. Can't see the stains.
