What Was Darwins Theory Of Evolution?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Darwin's theory of evolution suggests that all existing species of life on Earth actually came from a common ancestor. The theory bases itself on the postulates laid down by Charles Darwin who suggested that the variation in species in different species can only be explained if taken in the context of evolution, through subsequent reproduction variations in species occur over generations which end up eliminating the species with traits not favorable for survival and favors those with the most appropriate traits through a process called Natural Selection. Through this mechanism it is suggested that only those species will evolve over time which are more favored to reproduce and survive the environment. All land species of animals have been suggested to have evolved from the Trilobite which was the first amphibious life form to have stepped on land. Subsequently Humans have evolved from primates like the apes.
