The equatorial climate is based on tropical regions. In most of the tropical regions there are two types of climates. They are wet and dry, but nearly all the places that lie near the equator are generally wet throughout the year.
The seasons usually differ on the basis of a number of factors which include altitude and the closeness to the ocean.
Most of the surface of the earth near the equator mainly comprises of the ocean. The uppermost point on the Equator is 4,690 m on the southern slopes of the Volcan Cayambe in Ecuador. This is a small space on top of the snowline, and also the only spot on the Equator where snow touches the ground.
The main important feature of the Equatorial climate is the standardization of its temperature.
