Are Actors Just Great Liars?

No, the popular misconception of actors is that they are lying, they are pretending.  However, the greatest actors do not lie, instead, they tell the truth, they reveal the truth to the audience through their performances.

Acting isn't about concealing or impersonating, instead, it is an art of revelation.  Lying is mainly deliberately not telling the truth.  Whereas good actors go out of their way to tell the truth, to respond to the truth of any situation, the truth of a situation is the only truth that one needs to respond to.  What is truth? Well, there is no such thing as objective truth, so I'm speaking of the truth of the situation as perceived through the eyes of the individual.  Which means truth is the truth as far you can see it. If something changes your view of the truth, then your truth has changed and you must deal with that.
