Computers are classified in different groups. First category of computers are the Super computers, which are biggest in size. These are huge and very expensive computers and they are not used as PC in homes. The reason is that these computers are very efficient and they can process trillions of instructions in a second. They are widely used by the government agencies. Second category of computers is known as Mainframes. These computers can process millions of instructions in a second. These computers are also expensive and they are used in hospitals and airline reservation agencies.

Thirdly, there are Minicomputers, which are used by small businesses and colleges. These computers are low in performance as compare to mainframe computers. Fourth category of computers include Personal computers which are used in homes. They are small in size and are appropriate in size for any accommodation. The fifth and last category of computers include Notebooks. They are very small in size and are portable machines. You can keep them in a bag and carry them wherever you want.
