Where Are The Appalachian Mountains Located?

The Appalachian Mountains is a range of mountains which is located on the continent of North America. It is mostly located in the United States of America, though a part of it is located in Canada as well.

It forms a zone which is a distance of between 100 miles and 300 miles wide. It runs from the island of Newfoundland, which is located in Canada, and extends to a distance of approximately 1, 500 miles to the south west, that is to the central part of the state of Alabama in the United States of America.

The foothills of the Appalachian mountain range are located in the north-eastern part of the state of Mississippi in the United States of America. The northernmost portion of the mainland ends at the Gaspe Peninsula, which is located in the province of Quebec, which is located in Canada. Mount Mitchell, which stands at an altitude of approximately 6, 684 feet (or 2, 037 metres) is located in the state of North Carolina in the United States of America.

They run along several Eastern states  from the Carolinas , through the Virginias ,New york , Pennsylvania up into new england

They are located in North America and stretch into Canada. If someone could tell me if any part of them are located in Connecticut, that would be great.
