What Does Neo-Gothic Mean?
I am doing a report on the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. It says that it is designed to be neo-Gothic style. I need to know that way I can understand the design of the building.

Neo-Gothic style is also known as Gothic Revival, and derives from the Middle Ages. Buildings in this style will look like the Palace Westminster, or the Cathedral of Notre Dame. Specific features will include spires, cathedral-style carvings, and buttresses. Since this style is taken from Gothic churches, it brings about a solemn look.

Neo gothic literally means new gothic. It's a new movement in the gothic arena - new make up, new clothes, EMO. That type of thing.
