Transitional vertebra is a type of an anomaly found mostly in animals especially dogs. It is a sort of a malfunction of the spine or the back bone. It causes instability in the bone and makes things quite serious. It may cause various diseases such as arthritis, slip disks, spinal cord compression and other various diseases related to the spine. The limbs get really weak which makes the dogs difficult to walk. If your dog experiences any kind of these symptoms, it is very important to take him to an animal hospital or meet your vet. The recovery is not easy and may require surgery. It is a high risk operation.
