How Insulate Attic Over Old Insulation?

I have old blown-in attic insulation and would like to put new insulation over it. The long batts kind. Do I have to remove old blown in before putting in new elongated fiber glass?

    Putting new insulations can be a very tiresome and dangerous task as it will result in contact with electrical wirings so you need to be very careful.
